Last summer, a friend IM’d me at work and asked if I knew about that guy who does “that funny little dance all over the world. That guy, Matt.” It took me a second, but then I knew exactly who he was talking about: the ‘Where the Hell is Matt?’ guy! I had watched a few of his videos and really enjoyed them. People always say that music unites people, but dancing does too and it’s so much more visual (not to mention fun!). Then my friend told me that Matt was going to be outside our building, dancing. That very night! Of cooooourse it had to be on a day when I just looked a hot mess. My hair wasn’t done, I was wearing my glasses and didn’t put much time into my outfit. I agreed to go with him to watch everyone dance but thought, “I can’t be filmed like this!” 100-ish people gathered and were waiting for Matt to arrive. The energy was great and by the time he got there and talked with everyone, I was convinced to be a part of the dance.
My friend and I went towards the back (cause we are taller) of the Waterwall. We learned Matt’s goofy little dance moves and got soaked from the Waterwall in the process. 
We had a blast dancing with Matt. And now it’s on YouTube. So, lesson learned. You never know when you’re going to be asked to be in a video featuring people from all over the world. So dress for fabulousness, every day.
